JAMB Announces New Date for 2024 UTME/DE Registration, Increases Fees

In a recent development, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially set new dates for the registration process of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates.

According to JAMB, the sales of UTME application form is scheduled to kick off on Monday, 15th January 2024.

On the other hand, sales of the Direct Entry (DE) form is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 28th February 2024.

Alongside this announcement, the examination body disclosed an adjustment in the registration fees for the upcoming academic year.

2024 UTME/DE New Registration Fee

JAMB has adjusted the registration fees for the 2024 UTME, providing two options for candidates – ₦7,700 with a mock examination and ₦6,200 without. Additionally, foreign candidates are required to pay $30 for the sale of application documents.

How to Create a JAMB Profile

Creating a JAMB profile is the first step towards a successful UTME/DE registration. Here are two convenient methods to set up your JAMB profile:

1. Via Text Message:

  • First, compose an SMS in the format: Surname First Name Middle Name.
  • Send the message to 55019 from your personal mobile number.
  • For example, if your name is Afolarin Chisom Aisha, then the SMS should be: Afolarin Chisom Aisha

Please note that for every SMS successfully sent, a charge of ₦50 will be deducted from your airtime balance.

2. Online Registration:

  • Visit the official JAMB e-facility website at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/ValidateeMail.
  • Provide all the required details as prompted during the registration process.
  • Thereafter, click on the ‘Verify e-Mail’ button.

Upon successful registration, candidates are advised to check the email address provided during the process. JAMB will send a verification mail with instructions on the subsequent steps. Ensure that you follow these steps diligently to complete the creation of your JAMB profile.
